Fine Art and craft have existed since centuries ago, it is still being adored and cherished in a special way in our daily life. Malaysian Geometrical Art and Craft is an example of such that can be admired and apppreciated not only by Malaysian but internationally as well. We have developed a technique and a unique way to use wood to produce these Geometrical fine Arts. These materials are refined into exquisite, cultural and artistic work of Art to which it is call "The Malay Wooden Geometrical Art" or in simple term "Batik Kayu". The result is no more technical accomplishment, rather an Art totally familiar but also completely changed.
The Inspiration:
We in Warisan Borong always wondered how we could use waste wood and turned it into beautiful work of Geometrical Art. This has become an inspiration factor for us. After four years of research in our own production and workshop, our dream have finally come through, turning our vision into reality. And now, the company would like to share this enchanting comcept to the world.
Usage:
"Batik Kayu" can lighten up the environment and bring harmony with its exclusive and elegant touches. This "Batik Kayu" can be embedded indoor into our houses, offices or any building in areas such as the ceiling, wall panels, cabinets, as well as being used as wall skirting, wall archer, signage, etc. Soon, this "Batik Kayu" can be used for Acoustic Sound Paneling which will be the first of it kind in the world.
Design:
Varieties of Geometrical designs are available. Our teams of specialist are able to offer consultation on planning, design and ideas.

Choice Of Wood:
Light hard wood are recommended for the ceiling and signage. Medium to strong hard woods are recommended for wall paneling.
Heavy Hardwood: These are heavy or very heavy constructional timbers ranging in density from about 800 to 1,120 kg per cu.m. at 15 percent moisture content. They are naturally durable as they contain within their tissues some toxic materials, example alkaloides or other substances repellent to wood destroying agents. It can therefore be safely used without preservative treatment even in positive exposed to fungus or termite activities; the sapwood of these however is not durable.
Types of Heavy Wood
Chengal: This timber is generally easy to work with and the quality of finish is smooth.
Kempas: Easy to work with and its planes bores and turns cleanly producing a smooth finishing.
Balau: This timber is naturally easy to work with and have good quality of finishing which is smooth. Nailing properties is okey.
Keranji: Easy to work with and give a smooth finishing.

Medium Hardwood: These are moderately heavy to heavy constructional timbers in density from about 720 to 880 kg. per cu.m. at 15 percent moisture content. Some of this timebers are heavy and strong enough to be classified as "Heavy Hardwood" but under tropical conditions they lack sufficient natural durability when exposed to the weather or in contact with the ground unless they are properly treated with preservatives before use. Most of them however are naturally durable in temperate coountries where climatic conditions are less conducive to the activity of the wood destroying agents.
Types Of Medium Hardwood:
Mengkulang: Generally easy to work with smooth finishing, nailing properties rated as good.
Tembusu: Reportedly to be easy to work. Produces a smooth finishing. Fairly easy to nail.
Keruing: Easy to work with smooth finishing.
Merbau: Really easy to work with. Gives smooth finishing.

Light Hardwood:
These include the relatively lightweight and soft timbers, which range in density from 400 to 720 kg. per cu.m. at 15 percent moisture content. They are the general utility timbers of Malaysia comparable with the general utility timbers in temperate climates. Many of this lightwood are excellent for high class joinery work, cabinet making, furniture, decorative paneling, etc. Although not naturally durable in tropical climate, some are quite durable in temperate climate. By providing proper precautions against attack by wood destroying agents, the light wood as a whole make very satisfactory timbers for general construction even when used in tropical climate.
Types Of Light Hardwood:
Durian: Have very good nailing properties. Easy to work and provides a fairly smooth finishing.
Rubberwood: Good working properties and quality of finishing is comparatively smooth.
Kembang Semangkok: It is easy to work with and finishing is fairly smooth.
Mersawa: Excellent smooth finishing with good nailing properties.
